Fraser McLachlan

Fraser McLachlan

Chief Executive Officer, Management

London Office

As GCube’s Chief Executive, Fraser is responsible for driving strategy and business development together with overseeing the international development of the company.

With over 30 years’ experience in the insurance market, Fraser has held senior level positions at Aon, Miller, and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited. For most of his insurance career, Fraser has specialised in the renewable energy industry and he was the founder of GCube in 2007.

Since then, he has gone on to grow the business to in excess of USD100 million in gross written premium.   Fraser was one of the first to design insurance products geared specifically for the renewables industry across all classes of business.  He was a pioneer in the development of offshore wind in the UK, having arranged the insurance for the UK’s first offshore windfarm. Fraser hosts and chairs numerous events specifically focused in the renewable energy space.

Fraser enjoys food, cooking and especially wine!  He also loves music (especially Jazz – he is a very bad tenor sax player) but at heart, he is a frustrated fighter pilot holding a PPL(A), IMC(R), Instrument Rating, Night Rating and a Commercial Pilots Licence.
