GCube enhances global footprint

Expansion in Minneapolis and Boston provides comprehensive cover for North American market

London 13 May 2008 - GCube, the leading provider of insurance services for renewable energy initiatives, today announces a further office opening in Minneapolis and increased investment in its already established Boston operation.  The North American expansion enables GCube to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding American renewable energy market, which saw $4.9 billion invested in clean energy in 20061.

Working in conjunction with GCube's existing capability in Newport Beach, California, the North American expansion provides new and existing customers with comprehensive on-the-ground support and local expertise for all aspects of the renewable energy market.

"Over the course of the past twelve months, the appetite and demand for renewable energy in the United States has undergone dramatic growth," comments Fraser McLachlan, Chief Executive Officer, GCube.  "The Minnesotan corn belt, already a strong area for bio-fuels, continues to demonstrate real investment potential, as companies seek to meet wider government incentives and regulatory demands.

"Working closely with new and existing clients in the sector, our Boston and Minneapolis operations will enable GCube to continue to provide businesses with first class customer service and support, based on local knowledge and specialist sector expertise, gleaned from both the underwriting and engineering spheres. "

The offices, operational with immediate effect, have already generated significant interest from customers working within the renewable fuels arena and will help the business to meet the needs of more than twenty projects that have come online since January 2008.
